I have heard recently that when you work in the mental health industry for more than two years you are just as insane if not more than the people you are caring for. I've just passed the 26 month mark... That may explain the urge to taunt the ones who annoy me. It actually explains a lot like why I felt the need to not fill my gas tank and push my car 3 blocks. I made Eric vomit by asking for his help. He worked harder in the 15 minutes of pushing than most days total (according to his recollection.) All was well though cuz he got food and I'm still crazy. People are stupid. Especially needy whiny people... I bid you good tangent.

Ah the healthiness of quitting smoking. I have not smoked for a bit over 2 months. since then I have had a sinus infection, "allergies" and now possibly strep throat. I thought quitting was supposed to make you healthier.... and I thought a tonsillectomy that nearly killed you was at least supposed to keep the painful burning of strep away. Everything is a lie... I believe I will just be getting sick whenever I have something that I want to do. Good luck on those costumes. Happy Hallowe'en!

Today I was approached and asked for a cigarette about 9 pm. I said I didn't have one. Client replies " Robert you could have all the ladies all over the world cuz yer good looking, But you should have a white woman. Do you like white women or black women?" at this point I chuckle to myself and say it depends on the person. His reply: "the funkier the music the better the beat"

after this inspiring conversation I had a thought. It caused me to think in a paradox. We all commonly hear or refer to the "mentally insane" as I did in the subject, but have we thought of the redundancies of this title? What does it mean to be insane? Isn't it by definition a mental state? I believe insane means "mentally disordered or exhibiting insanity." So why give it a distinction of being "mentally" insane? Is there Physically Insane? Its almost like Red Crimson or Blue Azure...Just something insignificant I noticed as my mind deteriorates while dealing with the insane. Your thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated.

Well I have been away awhile... been busy with livin. I am almost finished with the great room swap. Then back to work. One of these days I will get on and post some more phrases from work. here is one for the market:

Ok. Here we go again. This time I will share some fun stories from work over the past few days.

So as it were I'm sure a few of you have heard about the man who calls me Goobie. Some of you have even had the privilige of talking with him. Here are a few quotes from him:

"C'mon goobie, give me an extra cigarette so's I can git mah mastabation right."
"I'm supposed to be Dean Martin but I'm Marvin Gaye and Little Richard."
"Billy the Kid is the only one I've loved in my life."

Here is a conversation with staff ( her name is not Kim )
Patient: "Did you see what 'other patient' did on T.V. ?
"Kim" : "We'd need the same meds as you to see that"
Patient: "Thats cold blooded Kim"

The subject of this entry is one of the new phrases of terminology I get to learn on a daily basis... this one was used to explain the difference between a patient's diarrhea and shitting everywhere for attention and to be an ass.

Also, a note for those of you who plan on watching "Jeopardy!" with patients: Do not say the answers out loud. They will either think you are some kind of genius (not so bad) or they will yell at you for cheating and telling people on T.V. the answers...

Another lovely thing that happened yesterday was a Code Green (Psychiatric Emergency). Upon responding I was promptly handed gloves. The patient was screaming and spitting on the ground in a hold. There was much blood to be had. His eye was bleeding so his spit was twice as nasty. fun. Then I got to help carry this bloody, hostile, piss clothed patient to the (approved) restraint bed. More spitting commenced and fun was to be had strapping him down. Blood and Urine. Sounds like a prison movie.

One last story. On our ward we have a mean little troll woman. She is racist and is sexually pre-occupied (claims male staff rapes her). FUN! Any way she constantly calls me: Bitch, Bastard, Louse, Rapist, Slob, and The Devil. I drew a caricature for her. she doesn't like it so she threw it at me. Then she said "I'm gonna smear diarrhea on your face you slob! You louse you!" A coworker spilled water on her after this and the patient proceeded to take off her shoe and chase my coworker with it, trying to hit her with it/Throw it at her. Thats old school man. Old School! "Who throws a shoe? Honestly!"

well any way ... My job is alright sometimes... I mean an old troll chasing someone with a shoe... hilarious....

So ... here we are at the same stretch of road. Meeting up again. This time I have fun tales of work and play.

I have decided that squirrels are intelligent. At work the squirrels seem to taunt the clients. They run about freely and prance throughout the courtyard where we take the clients to smoke and enjoy fresh air. When one of the clients thinks its a good idea to harass the squirrel they run and climb the 1 inch squared chain linked fences. The squirrels then proceed to taunt the clients. They run down and stare from the outside seemingly laughing at those trapped within. They do this more than once, dancing at the top of the fence. One today proceeded to walk up to clients ( almost strutting ) and steal popcorn. This brazened squirrel sat daring anyone to thwart him. I think I could hear him laughing as he climbed the fence.

any way back to reality. Did an awesome session for WOD. I killed more people so my morality is lacking greatly. I'm at the point where its a toss up of whether killing some one is more prudent than letting them live. I stole a friends car and set some more people on fire. I blackmailed a vamp and am currently plotting to torch some others. I will soon be going on a killing spree and slowly slink to the moral decay of Hannibal Lectre. He's my hero.

Things may have gone differently if the rest of our party had joined us so as to keep us from being psychotic but eh....

also I broke into a party members house cuz the one we were at is now no go seeing as the owner was kidnapped on account of us and she is now less a finger if not dead. Decisions decisions.
